Award-winning New Orleans actor and producer Wendell Pierce will appear on "Be My Guest with Ina Garten" at noon Sunday on Food Network.
In Garten's barn kitchen, she'll treat Pierce to a breakfast of raspberry corn muffins, but not before showing the "Suits" actor how to pipe the muffins with raspberry jam.
Garten's space is not a cows-and-horses kind of barn, but a rustic, 2,000-square-foot structure with two airy kitchens, a reading room for her cookbook collection and a well-stocked pantry, according to oprahdaily.com. The barn is where the celebrity chef films her various series, which includes "The Barefoot Contessa."
Later on in Sunday's episode, Pierce ("The Wire," "Treme," "Jack Ryan") will tell the chef about "his amazing rise to fame, incredible family history, career challenges and gritty roles on stage and screen," according to an episode synopsis.
Typically of his roots, Pierce is a seafood lover, so Garten will also teach him to make a one-pan dish containing clams, sausage and corn.
