An Iota man was arrested Monday and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The arrest of 26-year-old Austin Broussard was related to an incident that occurred Monday, according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. At the time of his arrest, he also had unrelated outstanding warrants, according to police.
Broussard was charged with the same offense in 2017 and was convicted of indecent bahavior with a juvenile in 2019, according to court records.
He was previously arrested for failure to register as a sex offender in 2019 and 2021.
Broussard was booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail with a bond set at $50,000.
