Bayou Bets, Oct. 30: Saints roll, LSU set for Bama, Pels face Warriors

On Monday’s Bayou Bets, we’ll look back to the Saints’ 38-27 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, where Derek Carr had his best game with the team, while Paulson Adebo (29) and the defense did just enough. Meanwhile, LSU is a slight underdog at Alabama, Tulane faces East Carolina and the Pelicans host the Golden State Warriors on Monday.

For the first time in 42 games, the New Orleans Saints collected more than 500 yards of total offense. It also was the first time since the 2021 season opener they scored as many as 38 points in a single game. Does this mean Who Dats can expect more out of Derek Carr and company going forward, or was this a one-game anomaly?

Also, Jim Derry and Spencer “The Guru” Urquhart look ahead to LSU’s big matchup with Alabama on Monday’s “Bayou Bets” show, which aired on all of our social media channels. The Bet.NOLA.com crew discuss what the Tigers’ defense must do to have a shot in Tuscaloosa, and whether Jayden Daniels can have success for a second straight season against the Crimson Tide.

Lastly, the duo discusses Tulane’s ho-hum performance vs. Rice, the 2-0 Pelicans hosting Golden State and a preview of Lions-Raiders on Monday Night Football.

“Bayou Bets” is sponsored by Caesars Sportsbook, official odds partner of The Times-Picayune and The Advocate and airs live at 4 p.m. every Monday and Thursday on the Bayou Bets YouTube channel (among other NOLA.com social media channels) and can be viewed on demand there anytime.
