The New Orleans Pelicans released their paid streaming product Wednesday.

Pelicans+, which allows fans to watch games on their phones, laptops, tablets and smart TVs, will cost $14.99 per month or $99.99 for the entire 2024-25 season.

Subscribers will be able to watch the team play through the Pelicans+ app, or access the team’s games via the NBA app and at NBA.com. The Pelicans have partnered with the streaming service Kiswe to make sure streams are clear and uninterrupted.

Pelicans+ is only available to fans who live in the team’s broadcast area, which is all of Louisiana and portions of other states in the Gulf South.

Fans who want to watch the Pelicans for free can do so on the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network. The Pelicans broadcast Tuesday’s preseason finale on the over-the-air TV channel, which is signal 7.1 in New Orleans.

Accessing the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network as an over-the-air TV signal might require an antenna. A digital antenna compatible with smart TVs typically costs between $20 and $30.

Fans who don’t want to go the antenna route can stream the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network with Fubo TV. The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network has also been added to Cox cable. The Pelicans said Tuesday night that fans could watch Gulf Coast Sports on Cox's channel 129.

Gray Television, the Pelicans’ over-the-air TV partner, is in active discussions with other major cable and satellite carriers to get the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network added elsewhere.

The release of Pelicans+ and the rollout of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network is designed to make Pelicans games more accessible ahead of a season in which the team is trying to reach the playoffs for a second straight year.

“Pelicans+ was designed to be accessible, affordable and flexible to suit every fan’s needs,” Pelicans president Dennis Lauscha said. “Fans can now watch any available Pelicans game from anywhere in our market with this new streaming service.”

In addition to live games, Pelicans+ will stream pregame and postgame shows. The app offers on-demand viewing. Fans can rewatch games an hour after the original live broadcast.

Fans interested in subscribing to Pelicans+ can explore their options at watch.pelicans.com.
