Spooky celebration
Stake out the Fifolet Festival Halloween Parade starting at 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Baton Rouge, and don't forget your costume and nonperishable items for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Festival weekend also includes a Friday night ball, a Saturday morning run, an all-day arts market and an awards brunch on Sunday.
Halloween Day
The Louisiana Art & Science Museum hosts an afternoon of frightening fun from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Enjoy Egyptian-themed activities, shows, wand-making, the "Scary Stories in the Stars” show in the planetarium and more. Regular admission applies. lasm.org.

Live After Five closes out the fall season with Southdown Souls featuring Chris LeBlanc at 5 p.m. Friday in Rhorer Plaza downtown.
