First Presbyterian Church of Scotlandville, 1246 Rosenwald Road, will mark its 100th anniversary the weekend of Sept. 27-29.
On Friday, a mental health seminar will begin at 10 a.m., presented by Dr. Nicole Bernard Washington. On Saturday, the anniversary luncheon for church members at Drusilla Place will start at 11:30 a.m.
Health and wellness fair
Second Baptist Church Unity Center, 914 N. Acadian Thruway West, will host a health and wellness fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The SBC Health and Wellness Ministry will provide free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, cholesterol screenings, diabetic screenings, HIV testing and more.
Clothes giveaway and wellness fair
Greater Divine Missionary Baptist Church, 6045 Hooper Road, will hold a clothes giveaway and wellness fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 5.
